Friday 1st December - a Governor update!
At our recent November Governing Body meeting we have decided to increase the number of governors we have. Our governing body has been reconstituted from 9 to 12 members as of today, 1st December. As part of that reconstitution we have welcomed Mrs Joyce Jenkins to our Governing Body which means there are now two vacancies. So if you are aware of any members of our community who would be interested in joining us then please do let us know!
At our autumn term Governors meeting our Governing Body elected members to the position of Chair and Vice Chair. This year we are pleased to announce the election of Miss Gillian Hogg and Mrs Lynne Romartinez as Co-Chairs of Governors, and Mr Tom Oates as Vice Chair. Our Governing Body thanked Mrs Janice Woods for her excellent work during her term of office and her support and commitment during our recent Ofsted inspection.
I have updated the governor information on our school website and will be adding short pen portraits for each non staff governor, as we are aware that although our governors all work hard on behalf of our school, they are not always very visible during the school day, so you will be able to find out a little bit about each of them.
A huge thank you to all our Governors for all their hard work and commitment to what is a voluntary position, but essential to the leadership of our school.
