A huge thank you to everyone who supported our Friends of Branton and Breamish Halloween Disco! It was lovely to see the children enjoying themselves so much. Several members of staff were able to join in the fun too, so thank you everyone!
We are already thinking ahead to Christmas with lots of lovely activities planned. A list of dates of events and activities taking place this half term have been sent out to all parents along with a permission form for some of the activities.
The first of our of school events will be our visit to the Maltings in Berwick as part of the Intu Film Festival on Wednesday 15th November. We are going to watch one of this years films, Captain Underpants, which we're sure the children will enjoy! The children will leave school first thing after registration and travel back for lunch and then the usual afternoon of football.
This year we have chosen to stay closer to home for our theatre visit, and we have booked to go and see 'The Princess and the Goblin' at Alnwick Playhouse on Wednesday 29th November. This as an afternoon perfomance, however the children should be back at school in plenty of time for the end of the school day.
Each year we have visited the Alnwick Gardens for a morning of festive fun, and this year this has been extended to a full day! So exciting! We are going to be learning how to be trainee elves, play Christmas mini golf, explore the Christmas Trail and if we are all very good, we may get to see a very special person! We will be taking packed lunches as this is a full day visit. This is all happening on Monday 11th December, something to really look forward to!
Our PTA have kindly offered to prepare and serve our Christmas lunch again this year. This will take place on Monday 18th December, followed by an afternoon of festive activities.
On Tuesday 19th December we will be joining Reverend Marion at Eglingham Church for our Christmas Service which will be followed by mince pies and refreshments back at school. We then plan to have our Christmas Party Lunch and have our Christmas Party in the afternoon.
These are just a few of the events taking place, and we will keep you updated on this blog, so please do keep checking back!
