The Hancock Museum - Ancient Egyptians

On 20th January, Heron and Robin classes went to the Hancock Museum in Newcastle to gather more information on our topic of Ancient Egyptians. We spent the moring in the Ancient Egyptian exhibition. We looked at the two mummies and found that they were both females in their 30s. We decided that life expectancy back then wasn't very long! We also saw the hooks that the Egyptians used to pull the brains out during mummification! Very gruesome!
In the afternoon, we had time to look around the rest of the museum. The favourite exhibition was definitely the fossils and dinosaurs.
We all had a fantastic time and would love to go back to find out even more interesting facts.
